Larry Ensfield took over the positions June 19, according to a news release from Grand Junction, Mich.-based MBG, one of four partners in Salinas, Calif.-based Naturipe Farms LLC.
Ensfield’s promotion follows the resignation of the cooperative’s previous CEO, Bob Hawk. Ensfield most recently served as MBG’s vice president and chief operating officer.
“The board is very pleased to have someone with Larry’s industry and organizational familiarity to step in and take the reins as we continue through the 2015 harvest season and move into the future,” Bill Fritz, chairman of the MBG board, said in the release.
Ensfield joined MBG in 2008 as director of operations following a 30-year career with Campbell Soup Co.’s agricultural division.
In addition to being president and CEO of MBG, Ensfield will serve on Naturipe’s board of directors.
