IBO Report Highlight: Global Blueberry Production Enters an Era of Structural Growth

Global blueberry production hit 2,150,610 MT in 2024, a 21% jump from 2023, powered by more hectares entering production, improving yields, and maturing orchards across every major growing region.

The Americas lead output at 46.3% of global supply, while Asia/Pacific continues its steady climb, contributing 35% of total production. EMEA rounded out the picture with 402,000 MT, or about 18.7% of global output.

Fresh remains the dominant channel at 78% of production, but processed volumes are rising alongside it, a sign that growing supply is finding multiple paths to market.

With 282,193 hectares planted and yields at a record 9,190 kg/ha, the structural expansion underway is unmistakable. The question ahead is whether global demand can keep pace.
