Produce Lovers, a Mexican grower and distributor, recently celebrated the grand opening of its blueberry facility in Tala, Jalisco, Mexico.

The facility, with almost 10,000 square feet of space, is to exclusively sort, pack, store and distribute blueberries, under the company’s Berry Lovers brand. The facility has a sorter-grader from BBC Technologies, a Tomra company that specializes in equipment for handling small fruit.

The company ships blueberries grown in Jalisco to the U.S., Canada, Europe and Asia, according to a news release.

Blackberries from Michoacan, Mexico, are also marketed under the Berry Lovers label.

Produce Lovers also grows and ships limes from Veracruz, Mexico, and greenhouse bell peppers from Jalisco.
