Fall Creek Farm & Nursery names manager of breeding operations

Fall Creek Farm & Nursery Inc. has hired Paul Sandefur as manager of the company’s U.S. breeding operations.  fall-creek-paul-sandefur-u-s-blueberry-breeder

Sandefur will manage Oregon’s mid- and high-chill blueberry breeding program and work with Fall Creek’s breeding operations in Europe and Mexico.  

Sandefur has a M.A. in Horticulture from the University of Arkansas and a Ph.D. in Horticulture from Washington State University.  

“Paul’s path through Arkansas under Dr. John Clark and Washington State under Dr. Cameron Peace is exceptional. These are well-known, robust breeding and genetics programs and two top level professors. Dr. Sandefur brings the latest technology developments in breeding paired with a passion for field-breeding to produce the world’s best blueberries,” Dave Brazelton, Fall Creek Farm & Nursery president, said in a news release.
