Blueberry Council asks consumers to make ‘Little Changes’

U.S. Highbush Blueberry Council is trying to get consumers to cultivate a healthier lifestyle through its 2016 Little Changes marketing campaign.

Major components of the campaign will be imblueberry logoplemented in January-February, May-July, and November-December to coincide with periods of high supply, according to a council news release.

Segments of the campaign include: #OurLittleChanges social network movement, which will offer tips about how to be more active and eat more nutritious foods; 100 Days of Summer, which will provide busy Americans with 100 simple ways to make the most of summer with their families; and Little Changes Holiday Recipes promoting simple blueberry recipes, according to the release.

“In the last five years, North American per capita blueberry consumption has increased by nearly 50%, with blueberry consumers trending younger and more diverse,” said Parm Bains, chairman of the U.S. Highbush Blueberry Council, in the news release.
