In a final rule that will be effective at the end of August, the U.S. Department of Agriculture said that commercial shipments of blueberries from Morocco will be permitted if they meet several phytosantiary requirements.

The USDA said that Moroccan trade officials expect the country’s exporters to ship 360,000 pounds of fresh blueberries to the U.S. That amount would equal about one-tenth of 1% of U.S. domestic supply, according to the USDA.

Imports of Moroccan blueberries are expected to arrive in July and August, according to the USDA.
