Brooks, Ore.-based Curry & Co.’s summer blueberry program will benefit from the company’s new deal with Langley, British Columbia-based Driediger Farms Ltd., Matt Curry, Curry & Co.’s president, said in a press release.
“It increases our summer blueberry volumes significantly, allowing us to offer larger programs for a longer period of time to our customer base,” Curry said in the release. “Plus, we’re proud that we’ll be working with one of the best-known quality brands and labels from Canada.”
Driediger, which grows blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, blackberries, currant and rhubarb, ships throughout North America and to Asia, South America and Europe.
The company completed work on a new production facility in 2013.
“We are second-generation farmers and have been cultivating the land of the lush Fraser Valley since 1964,” president Rhonda Driediger said in the release. “The opportunity to partner with Curry & Co. is a great fit with our company’s strategic growth plan. They have a strong retail presence and a growing, year-round blueberry program.”
Curry & Co. is a year-round supplier of blueberries and onions. The company also has seasonal blackberry and Vidalia carrot programs.
