In early April, the U.S. Highbush Blueberry Council started its “Dynamo Digest” foodservice blog.
The Folsom, Calif.-based group’s blog, www.blueberrycouncil.org/foodservice/dynamo-digest, plans to offer a variety of information, tips and advice from chefs and foodservice professionals, according to a news release.
“There is a constant influx of information with which people in foodservice need to be kept up to speed,” Mark Villata, the council’s executive director, said in the release. “Dynamo Digest will be a valuable resource for creative ways to use blueberries, and will go beyond that.”
Aside from introducing ways to use variou03s forms of blueberries (fresh, dried, frozen and liquid), the blog features insights from dietitians, chefs and foodservice professionals.
Topics will include school programs, menu trends, dining experiences and supply information to supermarket shoppers, according to the release.
