Bitwise Agronomy specialises in yield forecasting for the berry industry. Founded by Fiona Turner, a technologist and seventh-generation farmer, Bitwise Agronomy was born from the real-world challenge of running a farm while needing more precise, timely insights.

The flagship product, GreenView AI, uses artificial intelligence to see fruit like an agronomist does, but with superhuman speed, scale and accuracy. Growers mount a standard GoPro camera on farm machinery, capture footage of around 3% of their crop, and upload it. No drones, satellites or specialist equipment required.

The forecasting engine combines that footage with 1000s of ripening curves built across 100+ berry varieties, including strawberries, blueberries, raspberries and blackberries. There’s no one-size-fits-all curve. Every farm, block and microclimate gets its own, because no two sites ripen the same.

Twelve hours after uploading footage, growers receive dashboards and forecasts accurate to around 90%, even up to 12 weeks ahead. That level of precision changes how growers plan: less wasted fruit, better-timed labour, and stronger prices from supermarkets and buyers.

Manual forecasting works when you’re covering a handful of blocks. But it breaks down at scale. That’s where Bitwise Agronomy comes in.
