Peru to host the IBO Summit 2027

The International Blueberry Organization has officially announced that Peru will host the 2027 IBO Summit. The announcement was made in February in Berlin, confirming the next destination of the industry’s leading global gathering.

The IBO Summit brings together producers, exporters, marketers, researchers and industry leaders from both producing and consuming regions. As the principal forum for international dialogue within the blueberry sector, the Summit provides an opportunity to exchange data, align priorities and address the structural challenges shaping the category’s future.

Peru’s selection reflects its growing influence within the global blueberry landscape. Over the past decade, the country has become a central contributor to global supply and an active participant in discussions surrounding varietal transition, production efficiency, logistics and market development. Its rapid evolution has positioned it as one of the most dynamic origins in the industry.

Hosting the 2027 Summit will allow delegates to engage directly with Peru’s production systems and export infrastructure, while also fostering broader discussions on long-term industry balance, consumer demand development, sustainability and strategic growth. The rotation of host countries remains a core element of the Summit’s design, ensuring that the global industry remains connected to the realities of different regions.

Further details regarding dates, host city and program structure will be communicated in the coming months. The announcement in Berlin marks an important step in the preparation process and underscores Peru’s significance within the international blueberry sector as it continues to evolve.
